This is a macro defined by the BZFS API which registers this plug-in. Virtual void Event (bz_EventData* eventData) # include "bzfsAPI.h" class ChatNotifier : public bz_Plugin Here's what the final plug-in would look like with a special note about BZ_PLUGIN(). Why so explicit? My plug-ins are never perfect the first time around and I always add more features, so I'd like to know which version is currently loaded on a server. I've adopted the practice of using the following pattern in my plug-ins. What's in a name? This name will be used in debug messages and /listplugins so what you return is up to you. This is a hypothetical plug-in that will be used on servers where only registered players are allowed to speak. I will be taking you through on building a plug-in that will notify unregistered players why they cannot speak. Building a Plug-in with Notification Type Events to "Building a Plug-in with Notification Type Events" section When you build your plug-in, you'll need to plan out which events you will need. There are events available for the majority of things that happen on a server such as a player joining, leaving, dying, capturing a flag, etc. If you use the plug-in skeleton generator, you'll be able to check off which events you intend to use and it'll have documentation notes for you to use with what information is available in each event. Plugins are not limited solely to events but in this first chapter, that's what we'll be covering. API Events to "API Events" sectionīZFlag plug-ins work (mainly) by defining callbacks for specific events depending on the purpose of the plug-in. This method is where the main behavior (our callbacks) of the plug-in is written. virtual void Event (bz_EventData* eventData) to "virtual void Event (bz_EventData* eventData) " section This method has a default implementation that calls Flush() automatically, however it's a good idea to always create this implementation so you don't forget remove custom registrations if you add any in the future of your plug-in development. Call the Flush() function (to unregister your event callbacks). This method is called whenever the plug-in is unloaded and is where you need to: Virtual void Cleanup () to "virtual void Cleanup () " section Register which events we'll be listening to.In this method, we will need to do the following: This method is where all of the plug-in configuration is done and is the method that is called when the plug-in is loaded. virtual void Init (const char* config) to "virtual void Init (const char* config) " section This method defines the name of the plugin and what will be returned in debug messages and when /listplugins is run. The four methods that each plug-in must define are the following: virtual const char* Name () to "virtual const char* Name () " section Plug-in Core + Setup to "Plug-in Core + Setup" section For the rest of this tutorial, I'll be relying heavily on this generator. I have a built an (opinionated) generator, which will build the skeleton of your plugin and will take care of all the configuration of everything. This should make sense as you continue to read further in this tutorial. For example, when I say there are three methods each plug-in must define I mean there are three methods that the plug-in's class must define. Moving forward in this tutorial, when the word "plug-in" is used, it refers to the class that defines the plug-in's functionality. ![]() Right? In this first chapter, I'll be going over the structure of a plug-in while building our first sample plug-in.īZFlag plug-ins are written in C++ and each plug-in is a class which extends the bz_Plugin base class. You can also sit the Hue Go with its light facing straight up for a more unconventional look. The Hue Go features a stand on its underside so that it sits at a 45-degree angle, which allows it to perfectly cast its light against a wall or large piece of furniture. Maybe it is related to power consumption, because Hue Go can run on battery. The promise of Hue Go, though, was in the name: the lamp could go with you anywhere you wanted, with a battery life that kept it glowing for hours. At 2,700 Kelvin, it is thus even brighter than the classic version without filament, which only achieves 320 lumens at this. At standard white, the maximum brightness of 350 lumens is achieved. The battery lasts for up to 18 hours when the Hue Go is on the Cozy candle setting and up to 2.5 hours when at full brightness in any color. Philips intentionally uses a different PWM frequency there. Equipped with White Ambiance technology, the new E14 candle lamp from Philips Hue can adjust its colour temperature from 2,200 to 4,500 Kelvin. Works as a standalone light or as part of your smart lighting system with the Hue Bridge. From a splash of color to a mood-setting centerpiece, the Hue Go lets you set the perfect ambiance. The problem is I can only figure out how to activate it from the button on the device. Simply unplug the power cable from the power socket and bring the lamp anywhere: on the table for an outdoor party, as the centerpiece for a festive family dinner, or even in the tent while camping. Take smart light with you with the portable Hue Go. The Hue Go light has a candle effect which flickers like a candle. The most unique feature of the Hue Go is its portability. The Hue Go smart lamp features 520 lumen and millions of colors of light, making it a bright and powerful addition to any room. With its simple bowl-shaped design and translucent shell, the Hue Go doesn’t stand out - until you turn it on. Usually, 60 degrees is the standard lob wedge loft. The lob wedge is the highest lofted golf club in the bag. The bounce gives you more forgiveness and helps you hit better shots around the greens. The added bounce means this wedge won’t dig into the sand, and it helps the sole of the wedge glide over the turf. You can use this club from bunkers, for clearing hazards, chip shots around the greens, and full approach shots.Ī sand wedge has a higher bounce than a pitching wedge or gap wedge. The best sand wedges are versatile and come in handy in many situations. Sand wedge loft ranges from 52-58 degrees, and the best loft for you depends on your pitching wedge and gap wedge setup. The sand wedge used to be the highest lofted club in the bag until lob wedges became popular. A gap wedge loft ranges from 48-52 degrees, meaning it sits perfectly between pitching and sand wedges. The gap wedge was the club designed to fill that gap. Sometimes there might’ve been a gap of more than 10 degrees, resulting in a bigger yardage gap. When manufacturers started to lower pitching wedge loft, it created a wider gap between that and sand wedge loft. Some iron sets come with a gap wedge however, this is less common than getting a pitching wedge with a set. Gap Wedge Loft (48-52 degrees)Ī gap wedge (or approach wedge) plugs the gap between your pitching wedge and sand wedge. When you have the best gapping, you’ll get the optimal distance gap between each wedge. You need to make sure your gapping is correct. The difference in distance increases the need for you to customize your gap wedge loft, sand wedge loft, and sand wedge loft. Players are hitting pitching wedges further than before. More pitching wedge lofts are at the lower end of that range, although the best pitching wedge for you might not be in that range. Pitching wedges come stock in most iron sets and have lofts ranging from 43-48 degrees. You can still find these lofts in a pitching wedge today, but you’re less likely to come across them. Manufacturers tend to make lofts stronger these days, with 43-46 degrees being a common loft range.īack in the day, a pitching wedge loft of 47-48 degrees was more common. Over the years, pitching wedge loft has changed. Different golf club manufacturers make wedges with different lofts, so we must look at typical loft ranges. Golf Wedges and Loft Rangesįirstly, we should note that there’s no universal loft for golf wedges. So, you need to know the lofts of these wedges, and you will after this article. Pitching wedge loft, gap wedge loft, sand wedge loft, and lob wedge loft will determine that gapping. And the gapping between these distances is crucial. Knowing you can hit each wedge at a certain distance is a huge advantage. It means you can have a wedge for shots from 100, 90, 80, and 70 yards. The correct gapping makes your life a whole lot easier out on the golf course. That information allows you to have the optimal gapping between each wedge. Understanding pitching wedge loft, gap wedge loft, sand wedge loft, and lob wedge loft gives you an advantage. However, there are certain factors surrounding wedges that can give you an advantage when it comes to wedge play. It takes time and practice to hone those skills and hit wedge shots close to the pin. A solid wedge game is crucial if you want to get better at golf. ![]() ![]() Of the three apps, GoodNotes is the cheapest at $7.99 for all the three versions of the app, a one-time purchase. You can add stickers, GIFs, web clips and sticky notes, in Notability. The last reason you might want to buy Notability is that you can add so much more in Notability’s notes than you can in GoodNotes and Noteshelf. Most lectures are recorded anyway, so if you want to listen to them again, you can. Notability’s recording feature doesn’t work when you’re in a Zoom meeting on your iPad. Though with COVID-19 and online lectures, this feature has proved to not be as useful as before. ![]() Students might find it very useful during classes and lectures to help you refer to it a bit later. Notability also has the audio recording feature, which you either find extremely useful or extremely useless depending on your workflow. Most people, however, do prefer the handwriting experience in Notability (even avid GoodNotes users), to that in the other two apps. What works for me might not work for you and that’s perfectly fine. This is debatable since we all have different preferences when it comes to this sort of thing. Notability also has the best handwriting feel you will get on the iPad. It has fewer bugs and handles big notebooks and many documents very well. Notability is also the most stable app of the three. Notability takes up the least space on your iPad and this makes it perfect for those on small budgets that can’t afford iPads with bigger storage. We keep hoping Noteshelf’s developers figure out how to make the app more stable. Of the three apps, Noteshelf is the most unstable though. It is just like their emoji feature, you can’t help but just love it. ![]() These tiny perks add a little special something to your OCR experience in the app and we love it. The app also has the ability to keep your handwriting’s size with its Fit to Selection option. It supports 65 languages for OCR! That is the most languages in any one apps, out of the three. Noteshelf keeps the colour of your ink when you convert your handwriting to text. If handwriting conversion is a big part of your work, Noteshelf is the app you want. It’s a good option if you dislike your handwriting, not so much if you don’t. That, and also the fact that the app tends to alter your handwriting. That is why we are sceptical to acknowledge their handwriting experience as the best. Should this bug plague your app, the user experience in Noteshelf will quickly turn sour. However, since the first version of the app Noteshelf suffers from a bug that causes the app’s handwriting to lag. The handwriting experience in Noteshelf can easily compete with that in Notability if it’s not better. If you use Evernote already, then you might benefit more from using Noteshelf. Noteshelf is also the only app of the three that allows you to publish your notes to Evernote. They have plenty of paper templates to choose from for all aspects of your life: Noteshelf will improve bad handwriting and has a massive collection of free planner templates for finance, parenting, event planners, health & fitness, etc.Īre you big on paper templates or do you want an app with fully functional planner templates? Noteshelf’s got you covered. Notability is an awesome note-taking app. GoodNotes doubles as a great handwriting note-taking app and PDF-reader. Is Noteshelf underrated? There is a lot of buzz around GoodNotes and Notability but Noteshelf also packs plenty of options. |
